Any student interested in participating in the GCPS Media Festival is invited to submit a project to the Creekland media center by March 1, 2010.  Judging will be on March 2, 2010.  Superior entries, those earning a score of 96 or higher, will advance to the county level competition, which will be held on March 26, 2010.

Please review the informational brochure carefully, and complete all necessary paperwork.  Projects and paperwork are due on March 1, 2010.

Types of Projects and Submission of Projects

Animation, Live Action Video, Sequential Stills (all types), and Interactive Still entries must be submitted on a CD or DVD. (Entries requiring Hyperstudio or Kidpix for viewing will no longer be accepted.)

Podcast: All podcast entries must be available for download from the Internet, but due to technological uncertainties all podcast entries must include a backup CD or DVD.

Website: All URL addresses must be live, but due to technology uncertainties must include a backup CDs or DVD. (Important Note: A "site map" must be included. This could either be in a flow chart or table of contents format).

Documentation should include:

One Completed Entry Form

Documentation of any copyright clearance information (remember, credit must appear in the presentation, first slide, picture, etc.).

Signed Georgia Student Media Release form for each student involved with the entry.

Site map for website entries.

The Book Bingo Bistro for 2nd quarter is Wednesday, January 27.

Official playing cards may be obtained from the media center staff with permisison from the language arts teacher.  Students are expected to complete the required 500 pages of reading prior to beginning play. 

Students completing two bingos will be invited to attend the 3rd quarter Book Bingo Bistro.  Students completing a blackout will be able to bring a guest with them to Book Bingo Bistro.
